"BEEGHAR MEIN BAAGI HOTE HAIN,DACOIT MILTE HAIN PARLIAMENT MEIN".It is one of the famous dialogue from the UTV SPOTBOY and Tighmanshu Dhulia`s PAAN SINGH TOMAR which released two weeks before with minar promotion.It can be boaring film,if you are fan of Salman Khan`s cinema because he does hit films not good films.But if you are fan of good films than it will be one of the best film for you.
SCRIPT ANALYSIS
Sanjay Chauhaan and Tighmanshu Dhulia have written an interesting story with the pack of emotions,comedy and violance.It is a story of an athlete named PAAN SINGH TOMAR who is stipple chaser in indian army and wins lots of national and international medals for army.Story takes lots of twist and turns in both halfs.This story revealed that our sportsmen are not getting full help from the administration.In the bad time of PAAN SINGH TOMAR,government doesn`t help him and he turns a dacoit.Screenplay is written by same writters,is up to the mark.First half is extraodinary which is the flash back of the film when Paan Singh Tomar narrated his entire story to a journalist.Second half has lots of loo breaks.It boars the audience in violent sequence.Especially,soft hearted people will not like these sequences.Dialogues are penned by Sanjay Chauhaan are the unique selling point of the film.Overall,Script is above average.
STAR PERFORMANCES
Irrfan Khan the real KHAN of bollywood played the title role in the film.He lived the life of PAAN SINGH TOMAR on silver screen.He did well as athlete and then as a dacoit.Mahi Gill is extremely good as an wife of PAAN SINGH TOMAR.She looks very comfortable and energetic in bed scenes with leading actor.Vipin Sharma is natural as Major Masand.Jahangir act wonderfull as the role of Bhanwar Singh.Other actors are also in good roles.
DIRECTION AND OTHER ASPECTS
The main athlete of the film,Tighmanshu Dhulia,has given great job as an director.His narration style is outstanding.He has created the wonderfull atmosphere of the village in the film.Music has less scope in the film.But backgroud score is quite good by Abhishek Ray.Aseem Mishra`s cinematography is superb.He captured entire film with great techniques.Aarti Bajaj`s editing is very crisp.
BOX OFFICE PERDICTION
PAAN SINGH TOMAR has not mass appeal.It will be liked by classes and city audiences.It will be loss for UTV and profit for Tighmanshu Dhulia.Because he gets lots of nominations in different award functions.
